The Hockey Seed difference

Hockey Seed is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide superior skills education for roller hockey athletes of all ages and abilities, and to assist athletes, coaches, and families with finding appropriate opportunities for learning to play roller hockey. Our efforts are currently concentrated in the Tri-State (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware) and surrounding areas. However, we are willing to help anyone, anywhere who would like to learn to play roller hockey or start a program like ours at your local roller hockey rink.

Hockey Seed holds weekly clinics for recreational and travel hockey players at The Sportsplex This link opens a page on another website., a three-rink sports facility in Feasterville, Penna. (suburban Philadelphia), as well as skills-specific, occasional instruction by experts in roller hockey education held at various locations in the Philadelphia area.

Instructors who play and teach

Our instructors are experienced roller hockey players, coaches, and sports education experts who have excellent teaching skills and who support the Hockey Seed goals of installing a strong work ethic, sportsmanship, superior performance, and love of roller hockey.

Support for kids, coaches, parents

We believe this sport should evolve from the aspirations of children, not the ambitions of adults. We care about the goals of all of our kids, and devote significant time and resources talking to kids, parents, and coaches to help each player to accomplish his or her goals. Though this statement sounds like a "marketing line," we truly mean it. Kids matter; families matter; roller hockey matters.

Assistance with growing clinics at your local rink

We will also work with any roller hockey team or community to help you to set up a program like ours. We think kids have a better time when they know how to play the game. We are passionate about helping kids become the best possible roller hockey players they can be.

We believe roller hockey education is not only good for our kids, it's also good for the sport. The more we educate our kids to play, no matter what their aspirations, the stronger this sport will become. There are many ways to grow the "grassroots" of roller hockey.
